[Gllug] Help (exim, fetchmail and mutt)

Nice idea. The strange thing is that when I use Netscape as my mail client =
it will happily send emails both to hosts within the company and remote hos=
ts too, it's just the exim configuration that has a few problems. Very stra=
nge.

I'd use Groupwise "happily" if it did proper threading, had a decent text e=
ditor instead of some embedded control, allowed me to auto-append a randoml=
y generated sig from a file, was faster, didn't fall over quite so readily,=
let me edit the headers, let me view all the headers of recieved emails wi=
thout having to jump through hoops and didn't hide attachments from me on a=
random basis. And if it was available on Linux too, clearly (yes, I know i=
t's planned for version 6)

Groupwise? I'd rather gargle with my own vomit.... *gargles*

Cheers,

Simon

No. I get Mutt to access my GW folders using IMAP, via the GWIA. I
send my outgoing mail direct. I did try getting my local MTA to send
mail through the GW server - it worked internally but GW refused to send
any outgoing mail for me. I decided I liked keeping GW as removed from
my mail sending activities as possible.

The good news is that in 1995 we will have a good operating system and
programming language; the bad news is that they will be Unix and C++.
