[Gllug] turbolinux on TP 1400

Hello,

I am brand new to linux. I have an IBM Think Pad i
series 1400 and have installed Turbolinux on it. 
Xwindows will run, but the graphics are horizontally
disturbed (fragmented with some repeats).

Is anyone familiar with this problem and/or its
solutions?
