Presumably then you've got the XFree86 3.3.5 source code installed? Erm,
I can't remember the exact patch command (someone should be able to help
out here), but once you've patched, you need to rebuild the source, and
install the new binaries (which should just overwrite the existing
installation).
Anyway, the patch command should be run from the XFree source directory
(IIRC).
