{My fingers shake as I type my first ever message to Linux group.}
I think the idea is to have a proxy-server sit on your lan connected to the
internet. That way everyone on LAN talks only to the proxy and only the
proxy talks to internet.
I would be most interested in following up this thread since I tried to
muddle thru this solution with Squid (came with the SUSE6.2 installation)
and have not been able to get it to run like I want to. Add to the fact that
I am 33 days old to the world of Linux and have never worked with Unix
before in my life!!
Kevin, be kind enough to tell me if I am completely off the mark here.

Subject: [Gllug] How to access the internet
Can you tell me how I can use my LAN connection to access the internet. I'm
sure there must be a HOW TO out there somewhere, if someone could point me
in the right direction.
Thanks
